About
Sarah J. Edwards is an internationally renowned editor, writer, photographer, artist and director. Her expertise is in creativity, music, film and contemporary art.
She co-created BLAG with her twin sister Sally A. Edwards, while studying Fashion Design & Technology and Art at Lincoln College of Art and Design. She works for BLAG as an editor, writer, photographer, producer, stylist and director.
Sarah has discovered, supported, interviewed and photographed some of the world’s most successful and influential musicians, actors, artists and creators of all time. Sarah is highly regarded for her unique interviews and shoots, approaching her work to acquire and present a realness both subjects and readers alike enjoy, by removing pretence and injecting kindness and subtle comedy.
Prior, Sarah studied fashion design at London College of Fashion and went on to become one of the youngest publicists in the music industry, representing Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, Foo Fighters and Muse for major publicity campaigns in the UK.
As a model Sarah is best known for appearing on the cover of Placebo’s iconic album ‘Without You I’m Nothing’ by Placebo. alongside her twin, Sally. She also appeared on the cover art for Ash’s Girl From Mars, Depth Charge’s Golden Snake EP and modelled for fashion stories and profiles in GQ Japan, Vogue, Germany and Dazed magazines. Sarah used these experiences to get an understanding of photography, as she is self-taught.
With Sally, she has DJ’d for Pharrell Williams, Nigo, Y3, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters.
Sarah was an editor for NME.com and has photographed artists in the UK for Rolling Stone, Vibe, i-D, Dazed, The Face and has written features for NME and the Observer.
She enjoys socialising, drawing, hikes in nature, preparing healthy foods and drink, keeping fit and copious amounts of comedy.
